History

All Saints Outfitters, Inc., a non-profit religious educational corporation, was formed in Flagstaff, Arizona in August, 2002 to flesh out a vision for a three-component ministry: a monastery, seminary, and conference/retreat center.

The original board of directors agreed that the first component to be developed must be the monastery (soul sanctuary) - to establish a foundation of prayer. In discussions with supporters and board members in the months that followed, the monastery (soul sanctuary) was named “Faith Foundry.” Chuck McKinney (who received the original vision for All Saints Outfitters) and Zoe Payne opened up the first Faith Foundry April 1, 2005 in a three bedroom condominium where they also had living quarters and an office for All Saints Outfitters. The All Saints board of directors plans to duplicate Chuck and Zoe’s “monastery of the home” in homes all across the United States and in other countries. Chuck completed his Ph.D. at Texas A&M University, M.Div. work at Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky, and D.Min. work at Trinity School for Ministry in Ambridge, Pennsylvania. Zoe, a Certified Spiritual Director, completed her M.A. in Counseling at Asbury Theological Seminary and is currently doing doctoral work at Northern Arizona University.

Facilities

One of two available retreat facilities in Flagstaff, Arizona is in the headquarters of All Saints Outfitters-a three-bedroom, two-bath condominium. Zoe and Chuck live in the upstairs bedroom and use the remainder of the condo for a combination home/soul sanctuary. The upstairs also has a bathroom and a large office. Retreatants utilize the downstairs kitchen, living room, bedroom and bath.

The bedroom is furnished with two unusual bunk beds. The top bunks are single beds. The bottom bunk, a futon, can convert to either a couch or a double bed. With these beds, six can sleep in that room. The room enjoys a closet large enough to be a literal prayer closet-with a small altar and plush pillow to kneel on. Also adjacent to this bedroom is a small deck that overlooks much of downtown Flagstaff and some surrounding mountains. The facility is close to nice hiking trails and the Flagstaff Urban Trail. Many have experienced life-changing events here. (see Testimonials page).

High Point

A second available retreat facility, a 2,000 square foot remote, rustic cabin on forty acres, is about an hour northeast of Flagstaff. The cabin overlooks the Painted Desert and is surrounded by extinct volcano craters. This site affords solitude, silence, inspiring landscape, and incredible night skies.
